PERFctIoN!

Perfins are two things - unique and difficult to display. Unique because they really make stamps two-sided. I don't 'do' watermarks - normally there's really no reason for me to turn a stamp over to see the reverse. But I can hardly see perfin lettering on the stamp design, so I need to turn it over to see the letters perforated into the stamp - giving the perfin its name and making them unique.

It's been difficult for me to find a good way to display accumulated Canada, US and UK perfins, all languishing in manila stock sheets, unseen! I just received some UNITRADE Uni-Safe Flexo-Grip SF7C single-sided clear 7-strip/33 mm stock sheets as part of an order from Arpin Philately. (After regretfully deciding to skip the Kingston Fall Stamp Festival - I'd just finished my Long & Noble Crusade, finally albumizing a box of full glassines alphabetically that took me from January to nearly November -  I wanted to take a break from mass-sorting, but needed a few supplies. With a 10% Hallowe'en discount and free shipping over $89, I tried Arpin and shipping was prompt.

These clear pages fit the bill! Here are some quick photos of both sides of my UK perfins placed into them, oldest to newest. I hovered the filled sheet over a black stock sheet to show the letters:
